February 2023 monthly meeting

Thanks for joining us for the monthly meeting at Burp Castle!

We celebrated club members’ successes at Homebrew Alley. The following members shared their award winning beers:

Alex Cigan

• 1st place in Pale Commonwealth Beer - british golden ale, "Bit Gold Innit?"

• 3rd place in European Sour Ales - Flanders red ale, "Beautiful Nuisance"

Joel Katzman (co-brewer: Andy Katzman)

• 3rd place in Spiced Beer - spiced saison, "Bit o Pumpkin Spiced Saison"

Jon Pisiewski (co-brewer: Katie Sloan)

• 1st place in Smoked & Wood Aged Beer - specialty wood-aged beer, "Ryes in Crime"

Michael Helzer

• 2nd place in strong ale - English barleywine, "John Barleycorn Must Die"

We also bid farewell to Michael Helzer who is leaving the NYC area. Thank you for your contributions to the Guild and best of luck in the Midwest!
